Description

The Academy of Teaching and Learning (ATL) is delighted to announce our fourth annual teaching development workshop for adjunct (temporary lecturers) faculty members, to be held August 8 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This year’s workshop will be co-facilitated by Dr. Chris Rios, Assistant Dean for Graduate Studies and adjunct instructor in the Department of Religion and the Graduate School, and Dr. Lenore Wright, Director of the Academy for Teaching and Learning and Associate Professor of Philosophy and the Baylor Interdisciplinary Core. The workshop will target three elements of teaching: (1) course design and syllabus construction; (2) effective teaching practices and techniques; and (3) assessment tools and methodologies. We have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from participants of the workshop in past years, with 100% of last year’s attendees indicating they would recommend the workshop to others.
